Novak Brushless gearing for 501x
 

Hi can anyone give me a rough starting point for gearing with a 5.5L in my 501X please ?

Was using 16/96 on an Orion/Peak 5.5 (16/87 on a big outdoor track) - no problems

I run a 17t with the stock spur on the standard spur for the non-worlds, 96T I think....

I run a GTB w/5.5r

I am running a GTB and a 4.5L with a 19/87 on dirt off-road track is tight and 120' x 65'. Speedo after 5 min. = 120 and motor is 130.
Been running it for 3 months. Tried a 17 and temp went up to 160 on both maybe a little more on the motor.

Standard Kit( non-big pulley ) 96/19
Worlds Kit ( or Big Pulley ) 91/16

This is set up for a track that is 100 x 50 ft roughly;) with the 5.5L motor.. Just try to keep the overall final in the low to upper 11ish range and go up or down one tooth depending on the track size;)
