b4 ft pistons

ive nearly finished building my new b4 ft. In the instructions it tells you to use the number 2 pistons for the front and then number 1 pistons for the rear. It clearly shows you should have four number 2's and two number 1's included in the kit on one white sprue. Ive only got a smaller white sprue in my kit which has four number 1 pistons on it, and thats it. :eh?:
Is this only what is icluded nowadays or have i been unlucky and got shafted?

My recently bought kit was the same... I've ordered the full set of pistons. Part number #6465, not expensive at all.

thanks for quick reply. Are these number 1 pistons no good then? What does everyone use?

you should have 4 number 3s 4 number 2s and 4 number 1s dude

if you dont-- ya got linched lol

Ring CML and tell them whas in the kit- they will help out no probs

just one thing - what car was on the box Craggy or the blue one? i bought a blue kit no so long ago and my manual said to run 1s all round

it was cragg on the front. Theres no mention in the manual of all the other pistons you listed. Should they be in the box? (i mean for free)

they never list the other pistons so dont worry but yes you should have 1 2 and 3 for free on the same white plastic tree in the kit

they also dont list the other anti squat shims- but you should have a 1 and a 2 of them.

most people run number 1 rear silver spring 30w oil and number 2 front blue spring 30w oil

cheers milzy. Ive got the 1 + 2 shims and it came with front brown springs and black rears. Arent the front blue ones a bit too firm? (not much steering)

brown and black are the kit springs

Blue fronts are what every one runs in the uk

only change to silver if you need more grip

and green on the rear for the same

It seems the FT kits do now only come with a set of pistons (1's I believe), the full set now has to be purchased seperate AFAIK. We have had this in every FT B4 kit for a while now, so dont think it is an error more a "cut back" maybe

i had the same thing and also one of the turnbuckles was not right,i rang CML and they sent me a full set of pistons and turnbuckles............................oh happy days

As said above CML have dished out (so far at least) a free set to everyone who has had them missing, but we have had them out of EVERY kit from the last two batches now, surely too many to be a coincidence???

Glad CML are sorting people out- but if there not in the kits then maybe an amendment needs to be made to the manual
