Dex410v3 RR suspension hanger

Hi all

Just a quick question about the RR suspension hanger td330307 http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD330307 I am looking at getting one to fit on my Dex410r(2010). Looking at it I cannot see why it wont fit as all the parts around it are the same. But I just wanted to check with any of you other rango drivers who might have done the same mod.

although I haven't done this myself. I am 99.9% sure it will fit no problem.

Scotty15 27-12-2011 06:41 PM

Hi Big G

That is my thought but just wanted to put the question to a wider audience.

Hmmmm, it looks like it's a mistake that it's not listed as an option for these cars. Team drivers were using them during the year on older cars.

I've fitted it straight on my 2010 full fat kit, but two things, first, you need to order the plastic inserts as well as the alloy brace.. and secondly, if the 410r doesn't have the spheres at the end of the hinge pins, you'll need those too.

Scotty15 27-12-2011 07:05 PM

I noticed it was not listed for the older 410's but just thought that was to stop us just adding the new trick bits and not buying the new v3 kit. But I am sick of waiting for the kits to arrive it just seems easier to get the bits and keep my older 410 as it is a good buggy. I have rebuilt the rear end after a bad jump killed the rear supports etc so I have spare spheres and shims. I have found the hanger and the shop also supply's the inserts with it.

That'll get you sorted then, there's no compatability issues or trickery going on..

Kool thanks for the heads up dazzler

Might be wrong but are the balls that go onto the end of the hinge pins differant when using the plastic hinge pin brace on the R version compared to the ally hinge pin brace ?

Yes, that is the difference.

Many r owners will have brought a pack when upgrading the to an alloy hanger following a breakage of the standard plastic, so they'll most probably have some spare to use, as seems to be the case for scotty.

Scotty15 28-12-2011 12:16 AM

Due to having a DESC 410r and a dex410r they both share many bits so I have many spares of items like the suspension hanger balls etc. And as I have changed the DESC to an alloy hanger after breaking the plastic one I had to get a pack of the balls and some shims.
But the Dex410r has had two new rear frames one due to the last owner selling it with it broken and the other due to getting a jump wrong and it landing on it's back and with it only having the plastic inserts it broke the inserts and the the frame. So I have upgraded to the metal inserts to strengthen the rear frame but I was just looking at upgrading the suspension hanger to an alloy one, I just thought it might be better in the long run to change it to the V3 item so I can change the settings without keep buying the different hangers.

Would seem the sensible and most cost effective way to go!

Scotty15 28-12-2011 01:26 PM

It seems the best thing to do so I have ordered the hanger so I should have it fitted tomorrow or friday so we will see if it all goes to plan

hotrodchris 28-12-2011 01:47 PM

best of luck but shouldn't be a problem

Stalypig 29-12-2011 06:42 PM

What's the part number for the spheres for the hinge pins?

Dazzler 29-12-2011 06:58 PM

TD330037

Scotty15 29-12-2011 07:26 PM

Here is a shop that has got the Spheres

Stalypig 29-12-2011 07:33 PM

Many thanks for the quick response.

MrMagoo 29-12-2011 10:01 PM

Excellent, been looking for a shop with the hangers in, and they apparently have them! Order placed...

Scotty15 29-12-2011 10:11 PM

Yep they have them in got mine delivered today so I will be fitting it tomorrow.

OneKiwi 31-12-2011 08:14 AM

If I getthe rear one and its inserts what one is at the front? 0°?
I have -2 and +2 now

Dazzler 31-12-2011 01:46 PM

The -2 / +2 RF Brace remains on the V3 in conjunction with the RR inserted brace.

OneKiwi 31-12-2011 03:03 PM

OK and that goes on the front part of the rear?

I then don't need to buy the 4 for the rear then if I get the V3 with inserts right?

Ive been looking at a few setups lately and a few seem to have the 4 in the rear, I don't have that yet, so Im wondering if this will solve the problem with that and give me even more tuning options

Dazzler 31-12-2011 03:41 PM

From what I can gather, you have the -2 / +2 Rear Front. (RF) Brace, which you would use in conjunction with the insert type Rear Rear (RR) Brace.

The RR brace will be used instead of the 0, 2 & 4 degree RR braces as included in the original 410 full fat kits.

samd 02-01-2012 04:53 PM

Are the inserts the same as the old braces? 0mm 2mm and 4mm offset, or are they 1mm 2mm 3mm?

What are the available anti squat settings with the new brace?

samd 09-01-2012 02:04 PM

Anyone know??

Scotty15 09-01-2012 02:39 PM

There only three inserts in the kit marked 1 2 3 so there are only three adjustments poss

Big G 09-01-2012 06:49 PM

I think you turn them upside down also to give 5 different settings. or 6 if you want to be technical ;)

Scotty15 10-01-2012 12:29 AM

Yep your correct Big G I forgot to say about turning them around. But looking at the hanger it could be turned upside down as it is machined flat on both sides so it can be used both ways.
I haven't tried it so I don't know if it will work upside down.

Doesn't anybody know?

Adam Skelding 17-01-2012 12:01 PM

They are 1,2 and 3 degree when using -2 rear bracket.
We are doing a Team Tech Tip, showing all the possible combinations of the anti squat blocks and inserts.

jimmy 17-01-2012 12:05 PM

There are 11 different anti-squat settings using the inserts - thats taking in both high and low roll centres (+2 / -2) - and doesn't include the one settting that gives you 0.5 degrees of pro-squat (12 settings possible all together).

Big G 17-01-2012 12:22 PM

I thought I was wrong after I posted that hehe :D
