Default Dex410v3 RR suspension hanger

Hi all

Just a quick question about the RR suspension hanger td330307 http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD330307 I am looking at getting one to fit on my Dex410r(2010). Looking at it I cannot see why it wont fit as all the parts around it are the same. But I just wanted to check with any of you other rango drivers who might have done the same mod.

Andy

although I haven't done this myself. I am 99.9% sure it will fit no problem.

Hi Big G

That is my thought but just wanted to put the question to a wider audience.

Hmmmm, it looks like it's a mistake that it's not listed as an option for these cars. Team drivers were using them during the year on older cars.

I've fitted it straight on my 2010 full fat kit, but two things, first, you need to order the plastic inserts as well as the alloy brace.. and secondly, if the 410r doesn't have the spheres at the end of the hinge pins, you'll need those too.

I noticed it was not listed for the older 410's but just thought that was to stop us just adding the new trick bits and not buying the new v3 kit. But I am sick of waiting for the kits to arrive it just seems easier to get the bits and keep my older 410 as it is a good buggy. I have rebuilt the rear end after a bad jump killed the rear supports etc so I have spare spheres and shims. I have found the hanger and the shop also supply's the inserts with it.

That'll get you sorted then, there's no compatability issues or trickery going on..

Might be wrong but are the balls that go onto the end of the hinge pins differant when using the plastic hinge pin brace on the R version compared to the ally hinge pin brace ?

Yes, that is the difference.

Many r owners will have brought a pack when upgrading the to an alloy hanger following a breakage of the standard plastic, so they'll most probably have some spare to use, as seems to be the case for scotty.

Due to having a DESC 410r and a dex410r they both share many bits so I have many spares of items like the suspension hanger balls etc. And as I have changed the DESC to an alloy hanger after breaking the plastic one I had to get a pack of the balls and some shims.
But the Dex410r has had two new rear frames one due to the last owner selling it with it broken and the other due to getting a jump wrong and it landing on it's back and with it only having the plastic inserts it broke the inserts and the the frame. So I have upgraded to the metal inserts to strengthen the rear frame but I was just looking at upgrading the suspension hanger to an alloy one, I just thought it might be better in the long run to change it to the V3 item so I can change the settings without keep buying the different hangers.

Would seem the sensible and most cost effective way to go!
