Theres a few of us planning to go to Bury this comng sunday

As quite a few of us are doing the Mid West regionals / Nationals this year its been difficult to get to club meets..

Im always a phone call away and im available evenings and sat afts (as are a few others!) if track maintenance is required, but we never get a call..

Cheers

Nick

i will be there sunday:).hope to beat the 4wd,s this time(meaning tysons mate sorry forgot name;))i will be getting there about 10-10.30 to tidy track for half hour,do some weeding or anything to improve the look of the track.dont have access to tools though.can any one else make it a bit ealier? im guessing people are not coming due to the track looking rundown/tired.but it is a good track:D

Chrislong 12-07-2009 10:01 PM

Just want to say it was an excellent event today, that track was cool in preparation and layout (quite different to usual) and im really pleased so many turned up.

Next week is the national at Southport, so ofcause nothing will be on at Bury, but the following weekend (26th July) is the Bury regional which I am looking forward to.

Also, dates for your diary at Bury are August 9th & 16th. Hope all will be there!!! (although I already know I can't make it to the 16th August :( )

shanks 13-07-2009 09:51 AM

Bury

Was a good weekend - pity i had problems with the escuchen dubery in my shocks otherwise i would have beaten Chris Long - next time maybe...

bigred5765 13-07-2009 09:55 AM

was a great weekend, thanks to everyone that turned up,track was ace and is a tribute to all the hard unpaid work that roger puts in, big thumbs up,we need to get more people coming on a regular basis, and get club member ships up to,any ideas comments,??

T4miy4 Guy 13-07-2009 10:42 AM

My first time racing at a track and really enjoyed it even tho i came last  (at least now i know the weak spots of my DB-01) so i`ll get these sorted for next time.

All in all a good day and nice to meet a friendly bunch;)

Well i say friendly... nearly got a Traxxas slash in the face at one point ;) but that was my bad for doing repairs in a daft place:woot:

Cheers Andy

Chrislong 13-07-2009 08:19 PM

Hey Andy,
The Tamiya looked really cool, shame all the ballcups seemed a little loose and popped off so easily. There must be an option of different ballstuds and cups which hold better. Somebody in the Tamiya section is bound to know.

Carl, I reckon SC10/Slash/Strike (short course truck) racing is where it is at. Im getting one to cut costs at club racing, I think its the fun we all need!!!! Im just going to get an SC10 and bung in whatever spare stuff I have lay around with a 7.5R Novak brushless.

Chris

bigred5765 13-07-2009 08:27 PM

now that sounds a ace idea chris sc 10 heat at bury matty will be up for that im thinking,

madmax 13-07-2009 08:33 PM

kyosho ballcups fit the tamiya and are a hell of alot stronger.

i think in the states they have a series setup and run a 13.5 in them to keep the racing close

Chrislong 13-07-2009 08:36 PM

Well thats what im talking about, I can limit top speed with the 7.5 so to keep it fair. I don't want to have to spend on a new motor though LOL.

Carl, they're a scream, we can get them out in the evenings at nationals and tear up some grass around the fields. Perhaps with Craig Haggis and Michelle Griffiths,, add LED light kit etc... cool

bigred5765 13-07-2009 08:38 PM

sounds the dogs mate

kitesurfer73 13-07-2009 09:27 PM

Just thouht i'd say hi to all, ive just got a losi xxx after a long lay off the sport
so i'll be coming down to join the club soon probably in august, need some practise first!! ill be crap but we all have to start some where lol.
might come down to just ask daft questions first, then race laters
names mark am 36 from westhoughton latersssss.........

Chrislong 13-07-2009 09:37 PM

Hey Mark, don't worry about it, do a google search for "BMRCC" and you'll find the website, then check out the calender.

Like to say first of all great weekend.

Couple of us did consider bringing our SC10's at the weekend but thought better of it, if more are considering a run then count two more in next meet. P.S do have some LED's like that idea!!

Chrislong 16-07-2009 04:43 PM

Hey APC, I know Shanks brings his Slash along and I believe a few others have Corr trucks - so yeh, bring them along, lets get a heat going!!!!!!!!! :D

I'll be running an SC10 with 10.5 brushless. Was consider getting a cheap steerwheel transmitter for a laugh (I really can't use one atall).

Chris

kitesurfer73 18-07-2009 01:46 PM

practise

So can people come down on friday's and get practise??
when is the next one?

apc 18-07-2009 07:07 PM

It should pick it's feet up with the 10.5 brushless fitted.

Have a 10x2 fitted and took the SC10 out for the first time the other day, have to say handling mmm! smarrrrt, great fun though. You really dont need the wheel to make it a laugh

Tom3012 18-07-2009 07:58 PM

Think ill be going the regional if the weather holds up... wouldnt mind running my truck too.. its only a T4 but if its just for fun?

budfish 25-07-2009 10:08 AM

you can visit the track for a practice when ever you like pal.the club needs more fun/hobbie racers becouse when there is no events on( ie regionals )attendance is poor normally around 10/12 racers.it is these attendance levels that need a boost. its a freindly and well mannered club with plenty of help and support off the club racers im new myself and only been 7/8 times but really enjoy it the more the better!!!

dave

p.s im the one who's car spends most of his time on its roof:D:D:D

budfish 31-07-2009 06:00 PM

transponders

the club supplys transponders for use on the day. these are an expensive bit of kit so should be the last thing you buy.get everything else sorted before you even think buying one pal
