you cant adjust em are the pulleys shagged

Are the gears worn? Thats the only thing i could think of. You cant adjust the centre belt tension, it's just the top deck that tensions it. Try the gears first :D

do i have to bend the chassis before i tightened the top deck to tighend the belt?

DCM 03-07-2009 10:52 PM

the chassis should be flat, and when you tighten down the topdeck, you should have the car sat flat too, to stop any bend (tweak) being induced).

geerno 04-07-2009 12:53 PM

I'm on my 4th belt mid and all A-OK so far. Sounds like something is not right.

DCM 04-07-2009 01:01 PM

how come you guys are going through so many belts?? My DB-01 is 18 months old, and still on it's 1st belts.

henga 04-07-2009 02:50 PM

I brought a cat when it first came out but haven't had to
change any belts yet.

stikkan1 04-07-2009 08:10 PM

Changed the belt again, this belt is tighter.
Must be a bad batch:eh?:

bigred5765 04-07-2009 08:33 PM

strange you should say that, our belt is new and its loose compared to the old belt

discostu 04-07-2009 08:59 PM

do these belts skip

bigred5765 04-07-2009 10:03 PM

ill tell you tomorrow, havent run it yet with new belt

ben 04-07-2009 10:13 PM

NONE of your belts should skip! When you are fitting your centre belt are you putting it straight over the pulleys or taking the front pulley off to fit it? If so it might be stretching the belt if your not taking the pulley off.

bigred5765 04-07-2009 10:26 PM

followed the manual it said remove front pulley slide the belt over the rear pulley then replace front pulley,it might not slipp, just when i put the old belt back on its tighter,?

ben 05-07-2009 02:58 PM

Possibly a bad batch?

stegger 05-07-2009 03:01 PM

Is there any chance somebody could count the teeth on a good and bad belt just in case they are different, you never know ;)

bigred5765 05-07-2009 05:22 PM

ran ares today at southport, it has the same number of teeth, but the old one is slight tighter fitting no idea how,but the new belt didn't slip anyways,

paulc 05-07-2009 06:06 PM
