Hello
The car looks awsome:thumbsup:
I think that´s the glue!

edit: Ohh, you were faster!

Another question, how thick is the carbon plate?

Thanks!

Thomas P 07-10-2010 04:19 PM

The sides are 3mm or, maybe 1.5+2...not hundred%..thank you

=)

Edit: Not sure how much this one weights...i have dremeld off some plastic on each side, but added a thick CF "wall on each side...i have GHEA racing rear mount in brass, if it is to "light"...

Thomas P 07-10-2010 06:39 PM

Update..

Extra reinforcment...Epoxy filled the 2 holes that was not, and put a sunked skrew thru it, and a nut on the inside...think this one will hold..added a GHEA brass block to...

Thomas, you should check out some stuff called "3M DP490", it's a bit like epoxy but more similar to carbon or graphite. Bonds really well and is very strong, very cool stuff! You can easily dremel it afterwards! Std. epoxy I find bonds less good, and it's not very good to dremel off when cured (too soft).

Olivier Langlet also uses this stuff, that's where I got the tip.

There's an übercool 3M dispenser for it also, with a "spiral mixturing solution"! Never seen the likes of it!
