top picture shows cells with 2 x 6gram weights fitted these act as spacers to stop cells hitting prop

Garry Driffill 03-03-2009 10:15 PM

:o Is there no modifacations at all?

EDIT: Read up  - Top job!

gav4wd 03-03-2009 10:28 PM

none

only mod is the weights on the cells and the battery strap has had a bit cut off thats it, no need for Ģ100 worth of b44 bits only down side from what ive heard is the slipper on the s4 is not as good as the b44 one.

great look, so i think the LRP one also fit in there. one more thing, your esc is so close to the motor plate as mine, it is very hard to take off the motor because very less space for the wrench to unscrew it, so, need to take off the hold motor plate first.....big project!

matdodd 04-03-2009 09:43 AM

It shouldn't be to much of a problem, I didn't change the motor in my S4 at all last season :D

Chris Doughty 04-03-2009 10:05 AM

I agree with Matt,

don't change motor that often, and when I did, I always took the slipper assembly out and meshed it up and then put it back into the car

derek5 04-03-2009 03:33 PM

hi all, sorry for my bad english, i mean sometime want to change the motor gear, and need to loose two screws(hold the motor on the plate) first, but very hard to use wrench....that's why i said need to take off the hold motor plate first.....

losixxx 19-04-2009 06:37 PM

thinking of getting some saddle lipo's for the s4, what other makes fit straight in without mods??

till 19-04-2009 07:29 PM

sorry guys but when you put saddle packs in it.you can buy a B44. I think itīs better with lipoīs and it is cheaper, and itīs not that much work:thumbdown:

losixxx 19-04-2009 08:03 PM

errr it aint cheaper if you've already got an S4 and to say its better :lol:

rc_penguin 19-04-2009 08:11 PM

Ive got tp 4800 in my S44 so anything pretty much fits length ways in both s44 and s4 its more width to worry about, i think we tried the tp saddles in neils s4 and i think they fit without touching the centre shaft but he would of shaved a little of the side wall to be safe

Oblivionixx 29-04-2009 08:31 PM

Hi guys I wanna ask is it still available to buy the whole conversion kit of S44?
Thanks

Thomas P 30-04-2009 04:27 PM

Looking good gav4wd ive got the 4200 cells like you. I let my friend CNC cut my chassi after the Lipo cells and the fitment are 100%. To bad im missing my new RB-50 from TeamWave, but soon...

Thomas P 30-04-2009 04:35 PM

ya can see at the cells are little "tilted" dont want to cut down to deep in the "round" from bottom up to side @ the chssi...
