I enjoy reading about skins, but lately every research session ends with several buying tabs open. I begin with a simple question about an item and finish comparing offers for things I had no intention of purchasing. The problem is not finding attractive designs; it is losing track of why I opened the browser in the first place. How would you keep casual reading separate from actual shopping? I want to learn more about my inventory without turning every interesting detail into a reason to add another item to it.

Give each session a written question and stop once you can answer it. For example, you could aim to identify a detail about one skin or organise the notes for a single item you already own. Keep possible purchases on a separate list that you review at another time. I would avoid adding prices to that reading list immediately, because doing so can shift the task from learning to deciding whether an offer is tempting. You can still save an interesting page, but it does not need to become a purchase candidate before you have finished the original task.

A defined question would give your reading a natural endpoint. It would also make the time feel productive even when you buy nothing. You could save a short answer in your notes and return to playing. The article at https://tomoson.com/dmarket-cs2-wiki-the-only-skin-database-you-need/ provides plenty of useful information and points readers to DMarket for buying skins. You can read its discussion without treating that invitation as your next step. Keep research notes and purchase plans in different places. When you eventually decide to shop, start with a specific item and a spending limit rather than the tabs left open from an unrelated reading session.
