I have been diving into self publishing lately and realized how much professional book formatting actually matters. A book with messy margins or inconsistent fonts feels unpolished no matter how good the writing is, while a properly formatted one instantly feels more credible.

I recently came across The Author Central and they seem to focus a lot on getting this part right for authors, print and ebook both, which honestly seems worth looking into if you want to avoid doing it all yourself.
