Hello! I’m finishing up my shower niche and I’m debating between using bullnose tiles or those metal Schluter strips for the edges. My contractor says the metal strips look more modern, but I’m worried they might look too industrial. What did you use for your project?
Hi! I was worried about the same thing until I saw the finished result. I ended up going with the metal strips because many modern tiles don't even come with matching bullnose pieces anymore. The metal gives a very sharp and clean transition that looks incredible with porcelain. I hired Dream House Tile https://dreamhousetile.ca/ for my renovation and they suggested a brushed nickel finish that perfectly matched my shower hardware. They provide excellent tile installation services in Toronto and GTA and their attention to detail on the corners was impressive. It doesn't look industrial at all if it is installed correctly. In fact, it looks very high-end and intentional.
