When evaluating freelance UX designers, what key traits or competencies should one prioritize to distinguish exceptional talent from average candidates—particularly when considering both their strategic thinking and their ability to execute intuitive, user-centered designs?
So glad I found this post while researching freelance UX design. It breaks down what separates average freelancers from the truly great ones. I’ve worked with a few UX freelancers before, and it can be hit or miss. This article gives a clear picture of what to look for and even some red flags to avoid. I also appreciated how they included both strategy and execution aspects—it’s not just about pretty wireframes, you know? Totally recommend giving it a read before hiring anyone.
