Default cat shock towers 4mm?!

Hi,
A friend just bought a standard Schumacher C/F shock tower for the Cat, but it looks like its a 4mm one.
I thought the kit ones from Schumacher were all 3 or 3.5mm and if you wanted to get the 4mm versions you had to go to Atomic Carbon or the like?

Ahh that would explain it then Jim. Thanks for the info.

For some reason, I thought that MK Racing had made a thicker C/F shock tower for the Cats which was 4mm - maybe it was 4.5?

The old Mk one was just a Fibrelyte one the same as we all sell, they are the same thickness as Schumacher (4mm) and an exact replica, but they are cheaper, which was the incentive to go for them instead of the originals.

Cheers Darren - always thought the MK and AC ones were thicker for some reason?!
Thanks for clearing it up!

Try S1 version - cheaper and slightly more flexible - should help with breaking them a bit.

I'd agree with Pavel about S1 shock towers: I do tend to use the front one to save tyre wear on landings and went through a fair few carbon ones. I'm still on my first S1 version that's now on it's second car but now I've said that I better take a few spare to the next Worksop round......
