The Losi's!!! 4wd more grip faster overall 2wd less grip close racing very popular cheaper to run,
4wd eat batterys and need the proper 550 sct truck motors (i currently run a hpi blitz 2wd, but will be switching to losi) ![]() |

i ran 4wd last year and switched to 2wd for this year as there are more people racing 2wd and its more about skill than raw power,

Finally got into SC with the Associated SC10 4x4; the kit is fantastic quality & it is a brilliant built as really perfect precision of parts.
Main decision for 2WD or 4WD is really which class you want to race in... I got this kit as it is lighter compared to for example the Losi TenSCTE. I run it with my old Novak HV 4.5 set on 2S. My favourite ride at the moment! |

I have currently been running both classes at the UK short Course Nationals.
Using the SC10 2WD and the SC10 4WD,Enjoying both classes just as much, maybe the 4WD just having the edge as i was maybe lapping 1-2sec faster with the 4WD sometimes was lapping faster with 2WD. Ive had no problems with the SC10 4WD with over 50 packs only one issue was the clicker melted on the end due to human error overtightening of the belt. Can only compare the SC104wd to the slash 4wd,the sc10 takes more setup but once its dialed runs way better than the slash. Overall i would say race 4WD but the SC10 is the lightest and can get pushed around by the derango and Losi as they are heavier. Using castle creations 1400 4 pole 540 motor with SCT£95) in 4WD and Castle creations 4600 with MMp in the 2WD,both have been awesome to drive. Have been looking at the new blitz ese pro as an alternative to the SC10 but have a look at UltimateRC on "you tube" and jang has just done a review on it so you can make up your own mind. |

I had my heart set on an SC10 4x4 but picked up a used 2wd on eBay and it's so much fun that I don't think I'll bother with spending out on another car now.
Most of the parts match my B4 so I can carry less spares as well. The only time I wish I had 4x4 is bashing on gravel or other loose surfaces but on short grass with Kourse Kings my 2wd SC10 is mental. |

Durango all the way in 4wd mate. The assoc looks good but the Durango is awesome. I love mine. Hilarious fun to drive with lots more power than is needed. Really good car. Very tough too. In 2wd I've had an SC10 and Blitz. Gotta say for what I do and where I race, the Blitz is better(for me). Once again tho, just my opinion. lol

2WD SC10RS. 2WD is more fun, it will make a better driver out of you because 2WD requires more skill and anticipation, 2WD requires half the parts and maintenance so you'll be wrenching less and racing more while saving some money, and 2WD is always going to be the more popular class at the track (at least truly the most popular class here in the USA).
