I bought my first new set of wheels tyres and inserts today and went to glue it with zap and realized how runny it was (and how strong) when i had peeled the tyres back (thinking this was the best way) and as i was about to push them on they had already glued in place.
so out came the stanley and ever so carefully trimming away. So after glueing my fingers and glueing the tyres in the wrong place first time i figured out how to glue tyres today So we definitely do learn from our mistakes

A little dab of glue will do on 1/10th wheels/tyres, even more so on 2wd,especially if running indoors.

Get yourself some debonder aswell with the glue you use...
If you need to remove the rims from the tyres, apart from using a debonder, you've got three other options. 1. Peel away with a Stanley....not so good cos you could damage. 2. Soak in acetone....not so practical. 3. Wrap them in foil, and put them in an oven for a few mins...the tyres will peel off nicely from the rims. Although this may damage your tyres! Don't worry about your mistakes...I've certainly been there with sticky fingers where you can't seem to peel the glue off your skin for days! ![]() Naushad |

this is the reason i love rc models you can get dirty cold or glue yourself together but it is always worth it
but learning this way is most definitely fun and i managed to peel most the tyre of with only a small split which the glue managed to repair i hope
