I'm going to rebuild the shocks on my zx5 soon and I need some info on reducing the static sag as the rears realy do droop and I think this affects the handling under breaking and cornering but I'm not sure how

i'd get some of northy's white orings. i put them in the RB5 and they are ace.
35 in the front, 30 in the rear. but if you are running indoors then you may want to thicken it slightly. you could also try a slightly stiffer rear spring, the light green is good.

Mobile C' ..... do you mean down travel (what most people mean with droop)?????
What is the car doing you don't like? Have you got a basic set-up you can post up so I can see where you have the car and I will try to help. |

The standard ZX-5 shocks should be built with a fairly large internal spacer. If this is missed out you might have the dogbones fall out.
Other than that the rear droop on a Lazer is pretty similar to all the other race buggies out there if built as the instructions say, it helps keep the car planted on the bumps. I would only put in extra limiters if the track is very smooth and/or high grip. |
