Default Club championships: How?

Hi,

How does your club run its championship for members?

Would like to have an end of season 2 and 4wd champ.

How do you score points?

Does it matter how many meetings you attend?

Neil

Neil,
"back in the day" (ahem) we used to run 10-12 week championships with the top 8-10 to count... Bit like what you've done with the tues shootouts... If its just for fun and just for the 'locals' I guess we could just add up all the scores for all members across all the events we've partaken in (don't know how many actal races that would be?) and then say choose 50% or 75% of that total and points to score...?

Or did you just want to do it separately for the club champs?

Dunno, might go through the years results and add up finishing positions and then divide by the number of meetings (maybe min of 5 or 6) to get a ave champ for each class?

Aye,
I like the average points per the no# of meetings attended idea... (Even if it means I'll only ever be 'mid-pack' with my current set of results!!)

We always run set number of rounds and then 50% plus 1 of the rounds completed (i.e you might loose a round due to bad weather or some other unforseeable circumstance) count towards the championship.

So our summer series is 16 rounds long which means you need to complete nine rounds to count towards the final championship standings. If you loose two rounds then number count would reduce to eight.

Tie breaks are sorted by counting back the non scoring rounds (non scoring rounds are if you did twelve rounds of a 16 round championship it would be the three rounds that didn't count towards your final score)

Over the winter we run for championships of eight rounds indoors with 5 to count.

Thanks Robbie, understood

Troubles is I have not actually launched a club championship yet and it's probably to late to start on now, so I was going to go through results based on our Shootout Series and the other club day (Excluding Fastrax GP).

Total everyones points up and use that total
