Default sand in steering linkage

Anybody who raced in the mid east regional at grantham knows it was wet and very sandy. By the end of my final I noticed my steering wasn't working as it should and thought the rain had taken out my servo. Having checked it over there is half a beach worth of sand in the steering channel that grates and binds when trying to steer. Anybody else end up like this after yesterday?

My 22 steering died in the final at A1 Racing yesterday and i assumed is was a wet servo too... guess it might not be the case.

will check my rack in morning, is it a rebuild or can it be flushed out?

Looks like new parts are required and a good strip and rebuild. Not done it yet.

Just disconnect all linkages from the rack and it slides out, flush it out and reattach

I had the same problem, I caked the rack in cheap plumbers silicone grease the kept the water and muck out no problems after 7 runs in one day.
