We are finalising some last details on the Tardis 22 and wanted to gauge some interest on how many people would be interested in a kit from the first production run?
![]() The kit will include: CF chassis with moulded kick up. Chassis side pods. Lipo strap. Brass posts. Shims. The price will be £145 + P&P for the first batch. Just a note on the Lipo dimensions: Lipo dimensions for the Tardis 22 chassis are 69mm long by 46.5mm wide per lipo, brca regs call for a maximum size of 69.5mm long by 47mm wide, so please be aware that if you have lipos which are right on the limit of the reg's it might be a tight fit. Reedy 60c saddles fit but are a tight fit as they are 46.66mm wide, but using 2mm of brass under the lipos they are a lot easier to remove and also the car handles even better with the brass weight. Dimensions of BRCA lipos can be viewd by download the following list. http://www.brca.org/sites/default/fi...0v1%20pdf1.pdf Thanks, G

NOBODY BUY ONE... I'm beating all the 22's at my club at the minute with my AC CR2 and I fear that may not be the case if Dr Who drops his Tardis on the world! LOL
Only kiddin... I've seen the proto Tardis during its creation and it is a really nice looking piece of kit... I've seen Jonathon at AC race it and its a massive improvement over the original 22 in mid motor ![]() Definitely future money well spent for anybody who is currently pulling their hair out with their TLR 22. Mr Hinckley! |

Can we just replace the original chassis by the CF chassis (to keep original electronics position ?)

We are working on a body, but I think the original body will fit - but might touch the lipos.
We are just putting the finishing touches to the kit. I'll post here when it is ready ![]() Not quite sure what you mean, sorry.

I think he just wants to run the cf chassis but the same lipo layout as stock so it would just be light. I don't think that would work as the chassis is shorter.

Thanks rcjunky, that's exactly what I meant
My favorite track has almost no fast corners with a lot of grip that's why I would like a shorter chassis to have a lot of steering. I guess that keeping the lipo with the original layout could help to load more the front of car. |

Question ?
Is the connection between the gearbox and battery brace included in the kit ? (shassis stifner) I already ordered one FTW aftermarket body for the Atomic kit, hope this will fit !

The original body does fit but hits the lipos. With my tardis I made some side pods out of lexen and a heat gun....
Easy.

looks sweet,is the gear box at a different angle, does this make the motor closer to the rear arms, also what are you finding different to the way it handles to the original chassis,

Shorter and more weight onto the rear wheels, so:
- Easier to drive (less twitchy) - A lot better in low grip conditions |

![]() I found with the new chassis its felt like it snatched less in the corners, more like it was less aggressive but still with a lot of steering, and with the revised weight distribution it felt strangely a little like a xx4 floating over the bumps, i guess the big bores were helping out there. It felt more like the CR2 but with more steering and handling the bumps a little better. Hope that helps. Hopefully girff might be able to add a little more info.
