Thanks good good people of oople land

Well if you want a cheaper 2.4Ghz Steerwheel, JE Spares are doing some good deals on Spektrum Wheel handsets right now!

You can pick up a DX2.0 for less than £40!, and some others are reduced in price quite a lot as well.

As for sticks, most seem to use KO Esprit 2/3 2.4Ghz with or without spektrum modules.

The Futaba stick handset is also popular at our club (with 2.4GHz FASST module)

Cheers
Mark

I'd stay away from the Core sticks. Most of the guys at our club that bought them have got rid. Lots of glitching and random faults.

The Futaba system is good but the recievers are expensive

If you want cheap and quality then I'd recomend you buy a KO Esprit 2 and mod it to take a Spektrum module.

A proper spektrum stick radio is long overdue too.

Just to second the fact...

Do not buy Core-RC or Etronix transmiters. My 11 year son cannot even use them. The response time is too long to race well.

Futaba 3VCS with FASST system for me - beats anything I've ever used by a large distance. It's a long way from cheap, but it's also a long way from giving the slightest glitch or latency. Best by far...

Also know a few guys using the Sanwa who are also very happy. HTH

i use a futaba 3vcs and corrona 2.4 module and reciever, most guys at our track have 3vcs transmitters.

guys at our track got rid of the core ones also due to glitches and if 2 peeps stood near each other the one person could control both cars,

futaba or k.o. all the way

My 3VCS with FAAST futaba 2.4 is one of the best things I've ever bought, that said the Sanwa do also look good though I don't like how little throw there is for brakes.

It's only a 10-15 minute job to change, you can give the throttle and brake exactly the same throw as the steering if you want

+another one for the Sanwa. Their own 2.4 is really good and receivers are reasonably priced too.

They have announced a new 2.4 module for the esprit 3 so it looks like they are sticking with that.
