Default car layout tuning

hey, As some of you know i own a thunder tiger phoenix as a begginner racer (i'll upgrade to b4 ft 0r tlr 22 sometime) but for now i want to ask about the placement of things in my car. Stuff like battery placement, Right now the battry runs down the car, so starting at the front and going to the back, but some cars have the battry placed side ways in car, so side to side. what difference does this make. And what else can be done. thanks for reading

Not alot can be easily done with your B3 (thunder tiger). Different cars run saddle packs for various reasons (electrics can be arranged differently for different weight distribution, etc), but I believe the main reason is that most serious club racers will race both 2wd and 4wd (which nearly all use saddle packs) so it cuts down on battery cost.
