Default 501x aluminium steering parts

the aluminium steering parts seem to be about the only hopups on the worlds edition, are these better than the plastic kit items or is it just bling?

you mean the only hop up it doesn't have? I think it has the bridge bit tho right? That provides some tuning options that you'll probably never use. The rest of the parts are more bling than anything I think.

Ordered one thanks Griff, was tempted by the B44 being half the price, but ultimately wanted to still use the bix boxes of spares I've already built up!

How has the CML racing been going?

i received my TRF501WE kit yesterday.

I haven't started the build yet but besides the hopups mentioned on the Tamiya website, it has some other interesting hopups in the kit not mentioned in the press releases :

- Gold coated shock shafts (so no need to order Yokomo shafts anymore)
- Low friction damper seals
- new screw kits (they look a bit titanium'isch but propably aren't)
- sway bars

The revised body will surely be handy : there's obviously more room for BL motors and ESC's without disturbing the original body's unique lines.

Oh : it also comes with gold lettering on the box and gold decals.

Stefke, do you have the part numbers of the coated shock shafts.

Are the low fricton seals the same as used in the touring car dampers?
(clear O-rings)

Couldn't make the last one as my missus had our keys nicked(and i was hungover bigtime)
I bet the new tam with all the bling looks nice, it was a good piece of kit in std form. Is there much difference in the new shell?

Yep. Very BLING BLING. It should attract a lot of b*tches for my crew.

There are two things in the WE kit that bug me : They included the same cr*ppy soft ball cups and at first sight they haven't changed the diff balls so i'll be sending a mail to Kanzen soon.

The part number for the shock shafts : I'll try to look it up tomorrow.
