Interesting thing about FaceBook, you can see the posts of the people you've requested to be your friends, and the subsequent replies to their posts, without them actually confirming you as their friend.

Two days ago, I used Facebook's friend suggestor feature to add new people to my friends list. One of those people, posted on his facebook status that I'd requested him to be a facebook friend, by referring to me in nasty and bigoted terms. His friends joined in with the "fun", making equally as bad and upsetting comments in my direction.

I've spent the last two days crying and not wanting to do anything.

I'm not going to name who it was, the people involved know who I am talking about.

If I wasn't the kind of person I was, I might not be around to write this now.

You can think of me what you want, I really don't care, but think before you open your mouth, put pen to paper, or write something on a public forum about how you might affect the people you're referring to.

Eddie, what was said was extremely personal, and while I'm not going to go into the details here, I felt like I had to say something.

I'm not going to let what some idiots say about me stop me from doing the hobby I love.

I don't get the salad reference?

i dont know if its still a problem to you, but do what i do: make a fake profile or two add a load of their friends then you might be able to see what they are saying because of the friends of friends feature OR you can just add them through this fake profile ... bingo

hope this helps

Bobfish, thanks for that. This person, and his mates just showed themselves up to be the idiots they are, it just didn't help that I wasn't in the best of places at the time myself anyway, it just amazes me that some attitudes are still considered ok in the 21st century.

on a childish note, I might just forget to marshall they're car's next time I'm at the same meeting with them lol
