Can't understand japanese but it looks like you can pre-order the TRF501X Worlds Edition.

EDIt : just saw I forgot the words "Worlds Edition." in the title

Do cars ever sell out before general release?

I have never preordered before but am really keen on both the 501x worlds and trf416 to replace my current cars, am worried I may miss out by waiting?!

Dave

At rc-champ you can save a few ££ by pre-ordering.

Got my non-worlds TRF501X from their pre-order in 2006.

I think many of the 501X-drivers already have a Worlds Edition

An online translator such as bablefish or google will do a reasonable job.

Try this link via RC-Tech forum

http://www.rctech.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=87

you can email Masa san in english and get replies in english too.

The enquiries cover quite a lot of makes also.

Hope you don't get stung for VAT by Parcelforce though this end.

I pre ordered my TRF501X from them end of 2006. Price is good although they charge quite a lot for handling and shipping.
I got stung by customs but even then, i saved quite a lot of money compared to buying it at a LHS (And i got it a lot sooner).

For those of you who've used Champ, roughly what shipping cost was there to get it in to the UK?

368 euro's incl. shipment.

but that was the pre-order price. Add 10-20 euro's for the current price.

What are the main differences on kits between std and worlds spec?

Is there a list anywhere or does anyone know?

Thanks.

Col.

Look at the Tamiya USA website.

It basically is a "normal" TRF with all the Tamiya Hopups except the alu steering bridge.

Excellent thanks.

Iv copied and pasted the spes should anyone else wonder what the differences are.

The IFMAR Electric 1/10 Off-Road Car World Championships are held in Japan this year and Team TRF will be there in force with their specially-tuned TRF501X machines. To commemorate this participation, Tamiya is announcing the release of a TRF501X World Championship Edition, featuring many special parts that will be used at this world-class R/C race. These option parts promise to bring out the true potential of this racing buggy.

About the Model
1/10 scale assembly kit R/C model of the TRF501X, with many special option parts added.
Differential has been redesigned to increase performance and durability.
New parts including aluminum caster block, aluminum rear upright, and reinforced upper arm mounts further enhance the buggy's ability to withstand the rigors of off-road racing.
New ball connectors made from high-strength steel.
New damper pistons made from Delrin, a lightweight and low-friction resin material.
The entire drivetrain has been modified to improve power-transfer efficiency, with parts such as an 18T center pulley, 37T ball diff. pulley, and 369mm drive belts.
Clear polycarbonate body shell has been redesigned for better aerodynamics.
