RB5 .... simply the easiest to drive and most robust rear motored 2wd buggy I have ever driven and I've been doing this since the 80s!

B4.1 is a solid choice, but consider the brushed RTR. A bit cheaper which means you have more money in the bank for the upgrade to a proper sensored motor/esc setup.

Is the B4.1 team associated? Also are team losi or Schumacher any good in comparison to the ones mentioned so far?
Also money's no object when it comes to buying a new toy

IMO the b4 has had it's day. I still have one but can't wait to get rid I the new year. It's all about mid motored cars. To me, proof of this is cml team driver Tom yardy currently testing the S2. If cml are having to test their own mid motored car as associated don't make one, they clearly feel this is the future of 2wd, and not the b4

If you can wait to February, the Losi 22 looks great - a used B4 would get you going in the meantime, but I wouldn't buy a new one with the Losi on the horizon.

If the Ansmann X Pro can still be found for £80, its a good deal, as there are 2 mid-motor conversions available for it.

B4 all the way, although the new Ansmann X2C looks quite interesting (out early next year)

Thanks guys. I'm liking the sound of the mid drive and Losi 22. Is there any thing British on the Market?

The Schumacher Cougar SV (seems to be a Marmite car) and the forthcoming Durango DEX210 would qualify.

So now I think I know what car to go with next the b4.1 or losi 22. Where's best for racing as I live in Worksop from Friday to Sunday and when at work from Monday to friday I'm up RAF Leeming near catterick? Please help?

I think the B4.1 is a mistake, but thats just my opinion.

As for where to race, there is the worksop series...

The new Losi looks good, and you can run either mid or rear motor so best of both worlds.. Should be reasonably priced too

But if you find a good B4 it will be more than enough to get you going if you're wanting to get into racing, good parts availability and plenty of folk have run them so there is plenty of advise & setups on tap should you need it

This Losi 22 is sounding more and more awesome think I've already bought it without actually looking at one yet but then there's a shadow of B4 coming in.
