Default Why do you glue your servo saver?

Hi all, i've read somewhere in this forum that some of you glued their servo saver because it was too weak...
But what do you gain on the track? Better steering?
Aren't you afraid to break the servo?

Thanks.

More consistent and direct steering, I actually use a one piece alloy part instead of the servo saver. If you have a good quality metal geared servo like the savox 1258tg then you shouldn't have a problem.

it stops the servo saver opening on grippy tracks when you corner,so yes it gives you better steering,iv never glued mine as i know a lot of people that have plown a servo,

On high grip (carpet/astro) high load, the saver slips when you turn in which means initla understeer then as you slow down (and loads reduce) if jumps to where it should be means unpredicatle oversteer. The HD spring is better than the stock on but you can still feel it on certain tracks.

I too use an alloy replacement arm, plastic saver gear in KO servo but never a hybrid or all metal gear servo, I do try not to crash much though

Thanks for the answers!
So that means you don't need to glue it on dirt tracks with poor grip as we have here on the south of France?

I'd counter Dan's statement by saying I always glue the servo saver in my X - 6 Squared; about a year ago I got an aluminum bellcrank replacement set from GPM and haven't looked back. I feel it helps even on loose/rough outdoor tracks, as steering with authority is needed to get through the ruts and bumps.

I Put a small amount of super glue on my servo saver so that it holds in place on the corners but (hopefully) would break the glue and save the servo in a bad crash.. Its worked a couple of time so far...
