I mainly use Intellect 5 200 mAh/45C saddle packs as they also fit my TRF511. I do, however also have some GP 4300 mAh/35C stick packs that only fit the TRF201.
If you do not need saddle packs, get Intellect (IP) stick packs. If you have or plan on getting a saddle pack chassis, use only saddle packs for all your cars. Get the Intellects from a Hong Kong-based eBay seller and they will be hard to be for the price. Most IP-cells are EFRA-legal for racing. If you want to make sure that what you buy, regardless of make, double check against the EFRA-lists here: Stick packs: http://news.efra.ws/fileadmin/docume...20V3%20pdf.pdf Saddle packs: http://news.efra.ws/fileadmin/docume...0pdf%20105.pdf

Yep, get Intellects, whichever ones fit your car. I use 2 year old 4200 30C ones which gets abused with 5,5T and 4,5T motors on a weekly basis and they're still going strong.

After a little testing running the DB01 and the TRF201, get the heaviest cells you can get, for both... 290gr or round there, the cars handle ace then!

I have just got an Orion Carbon 5000 45C and am very happy with the power... but, it doesn't fit very well in the standard DB01 chassis. I had to put spacers on the battery posts, which left them not screwed in enough, and they came out (probably threaded the plastic too
![]() Can any1 tell me, does the DB01R chassis still have the annoying bits of plastic to make NiMH cells sit right, which cause lipo's to sit very high in the chassis? |
