Default New 2wd: TRF201 v Cougar SV

I'm looking to get a 2wd and have narrowed it down to the 2 new kids on the block, the 201 and the Cougar.

What are the recommendations?

I don't want to have to spend loads on extra bits, so which is better out of the box? And which is gonna need more spares (I have noticed a few threads about idler gears on both cars).

Also, what are the differences between the S1 and Pro versions of the Cougar?

vote for cougar, pro version. Its the best 2wd by now.
There will be no trouble for idle gear with the second batch of cougar( new gearbox and transhaft) and it runs like a tank.

If you bought the 201 and weren't over the moon with it, then i'm sure in the near future you may be able to mid motor convert it
