I currently run schumacher medium foams in all my 1/10th buggy tyres but what effect would running different firmness or brand of inserts make? Are they a tuning option used by racers?
I purchased some medium foam inserts a while back but also had the choice of hard and soft - and thought I'd ask what difference these make and when each type would be preferable. Any ideas? Cheers guys. Last edited by J.Kirkman; 28-07-2010 at 11:53 AM. Reason: sppeellliiinng |

Inserts have become part of car setup now with different surfaces. Personally I use answer rc inserts as they are a bigger insert and pack the tyre, they do a good range also which will suit your needs. New 4wd national champion Lee Martin uses them as does Ellis Stafford. Plenty of people run the firm front and medium rear inserts as this settles the front end of your car. But I know Lee Martin has used the closed cell inserts which mould to the shape of the tyre which gives a consistent feel. Best thing is to try them and find one you like.
