Now it's possible I missed discussion about these parts but, have you seen the other new FT parts for the B4?
FT V2 Slipper Hubs #7485 and FT V2 Slipper Spring and Washer #7486 Can't really see much difference between the originals and the V2 parts, has anyone seen them in the flesh yet and known what's changed? ![]() ![]() I'm not convinced about the #9789 SC10/B4 Titanium Front Axles though! |

Yes, seen it on the track here in the states and it is much easier to get a proper slipper setting. The spring gives the adjustment a much more linear feeling.
Also on the horizon and ive seen on the track are new aluminum rear hubs with optional degree settings as well as them having the larger outer bearing. They also have different degree inner toe/anti squat blocks of varying degrees. Most importantly though are the new shocks coming out. The team has been using these to great success and will put ae back in the shock game. Another small change are thicker front steering blocks. New rear wing mounts. Also AE was toying around with trans shimming to better center the motor across the back but it looks like that idea has been abandoned lately. |

The new T4.1FT has all these upgrades and guess the B4.1FT will have as well, plus they both have V2 shocks

Cheers for the link, is there a list some where of all the new 4.1 bits with part numbers??
I like the new clear gear cover! I'm prob going to add these bits to my FT B4 as it's got quite a few of the bits already |

Those rear hubs look horrible, what's going on there then? Why bolt plastic to the Ali?

Why plastic?
If you break the hub the plastic should break and not the alu part. The plastic is available as a spare. MiCk B. :-)

Seeing that you can get different inner toe in blocks and different degree toe in rear hubs, then.....
What on earth is the difference between increasing the toe in using one over the other??? ie: 1 degree extra on the inner block v 1 degree extra on the hub. It just seems odd to me to create 2 different parts to do the same job! |

Quickly........
Toe in on the hub, minor if any change on the wheel base, also no change on angle of the arm. Toe in on the suspension arm mount, change of wheel base, arm is angled forward, arm is also angled, changing how the suspension operates.. There is a difference between adding toe in on the hub vs. suspension mount MiCk B. :-)

The changes look good, glad they resisted including the geared diff on the FT.

Has anybody tried the geared diff on their B4, back to back with ball diff? Less rebuilds is appealing. Put it this way, why would it not work? Ball diffs have virtually zero torque transfer capability anyway..
