Brass weight for Cougar?

When I bought my used B4 it came with brass weights but not sure on the make. Is there anything available for the Cougar yet?

I would of thought with the SV being such a modern car Schumacher would assume everyone uses lipo anyway and balanced the car accordingly ruling out the need for extra weights...

Hi

It won't be for balance purposes, more to add some oz's and calm things down a touch if the driver feels it's a little nervous.

Look at the B4, most of us added brass bulkheads front/rear, lead under the LiPo etc... but you wouldn't fault the balance of a B4.

Not all lipos are the same weight of course, I've added about 90g under mine, nice.

dont forget though, the B4 was designed around older, heavier cells...

IMO the cougar needs a touch of weight adding to the rear, myself and a few others at southport yesterday went through a set of tires, we did 6 rounds and a final, but my losi was better on tires, we were thinking the car is almost spinning under acceleration because its a little too light on the back..

Just mine and a few others thoughts

ive run 70g underneath the battery from pretty much the word go since ive had it early january. i find it settles the car down over the smaller bumps and allows u to push the car a bit more with out the feel its gonna tip.
ive run the trish bits brass he has made up they come in at 70g added together . a bit fits under the servo and a bar runs at the back under the motor. loverly bit of kit. we are gonna try a few more designs one being to get the weight balance at the back from left to right to compensate from the motor not being quite central.

tom 6 runs on a set of tyres is good, southports concrete and tarmac sections are known tyre killers tom,

I personally don't run any weight and find the car fine to drive.

I's all down to personal preference but to say the car needs it is wrong!

.. just saying that on my CR they last a bit longer and seen as that weighs more, i want to try a bit of weight at the back and see if wear rates decrease...

The car was really good though, built and set up as per the kit apart from 4.5 springs up front, i used 37.5 losi oil in the front and 32.5 in the rear, glided over the jumps!

also might be worth trying the 3 degree block tom

SLY foams most normal people run them on the inside not outside hehe

Just out of interest how bumpy is Southport and any pics of the track?
