Hi Rich,
yeah it's common in as far as it takes a little trick in tightening them up, I can't remember exacy how I worked out Which way to do it but the kingpin doesn't naturally go straight into the metal slot, it goes in at an angle and hence binds. The 2 things I did are: 1. I put shock oil down the metal hole and on the kingpin shaft to aid lubrication 2. Once I worked out What angle it was going in at I used a lot of side force with the hex driver as well as screwing it in, to basically force the kingpin to screw down through the plastic spindle at the correct angle (straight) into the castor block, it then runs totally free, no bind at all! Does that make sense? Check your kingpin as there's a chance it's got bent as you've been trying it so far, if so I can hand a spare to someone at RHR tomorrow to pass into you?

I have´nt had that problem.
I put some antiwear grease on the kingpin. Also put some between the alu spacer and caster block and alu spacer and upright. Have not had any problems like the ones Dave mention. The screw goes in correct angle without problem. It can of course be the problem though. |

Guys, to update as I saw Rich and looked at his castor blocks today, the issue is if you lok at the spindles the top/bottom parts aren't at exact rightangles to the verticle, so if you screw the kingpin straight it isn't straight in the castor block!
You then need to just screw at an angle in the spindle to make it straight in th castor block, think Rich's were fine in the end!

Got from Ebay DCM. You`ll find that you have to get different parts from different shops as nobody seems to stock all the parts all of the time sadly.
