Default peak/orion brushless motors

I have been running the new x11 lrp motors and have now had 2 blow a rotor on me. I am thinking of getting peak/orion motors for the sintered rotors.Could anyone give me some opinions on them please

I have just ran a 4.5 in the Tamiya 501x in the mud at OZ Nat and it was bloody good. Its the fastest thing I have ever driven and it flashed 17 times on the speedo on the temp thing on a Nosram. Very good. I will be getting more.

Yeah they are good - there are many that are the same!!!

I ran one at the weekend (5.5) and i was impressed. It has LOTS of torque, so pulls very big gearings with no problems.

Didn't check this weekend, but when checking at the Belgian GP, teh temperature was very low compared to others.

Does anybody know where this noise comes from ? Bearings ? Harmonics ?
I checked the gear mesh at least 4 times and looked everywhere on my X-5 before trying to live with it.

Reason for the noise is an internal fan in the orion

I'm with woody, I have run the 4.5 nosram with the nosram 2007 comp and it is very fast and the same in relation to running cool on the temp checking system the nosram has. Another person I race with is running the novak 4.5 but having problems with thermalling from time to time.

We havent yet seen the Orion or peak motors here in OZ yet.

Hi Woody. Were you referring to a LRP/Nosram 4.5?

I haven't compared to Novak, but compared to LRP (with sintered rotor) the GM/Orion motor does have more drag break. ACtually feels more brushed like. I usually run both brake settings on zero with GM/Orion motor.
