Default Annoying grinding sound...

On thursday i installed my new brushless system in my TC5r (lrp tc spec + nosram 15.5).
I tested off to ground and all seemed well, but on friday, went to put it down on the track and did a little test giving it full throttle, a clicking sound came from the car and for the life of me i can't work out what it is, the gear mesh is near on perfect and the belt tension seems good?
Batteries are gm 5000 35c.
radio is dx3s
Servo is savox

Any help would be apppreciated as i have not got a clue what it could be.

Brad

If you mean tested off the ground ie with no load then you may have damaged the motor. brushless motors should not be free reved.

unlikely to be a problem with the motor.
Problem with one of the Driveshafts?
take the pinion off and see how freely the drivetrain turns

done all that and its free as anything really, rung the modewl shop up earlier to find tht a few people have had this problem with spektrum radios/receivers, the way to fix it is to add a spekktrum receiver voltage booster apparently, i am going into the shop sometime this week and we are going to test it.

thanks for the help and will update thread when i try the booster

make sure its not the blades of the driveshafts slopping around in the outdrives. I put a tiny dab of Tamiya anti wear grease on mine as i had a similar issue.

i've recently had a similar problem on my Corally, turned out to be a knackered bearing in one of the diff's - the extra "oomph" of brushless takes it's toll on bearings, especially if they are on their way to oblivon before you install the more powerful motor.
