Default what ever happened to ....

just wondering what ever happened to aire valley buggy club i remember racing my couger there some years ago then stop racing then started again afew years back

Remember racing there to back in the mid 90's with a Yokomo Works 93. Don't know when it closed though.

1 story I heard was they had issues with whatever they used to maintain the clay track seeping into the river next to it.

Yes i heard they mixed oil with the clay so water ran off the top, it worked well but after a few years it was getting into the river and surrounding rugby pitches. I was told they were closed by the environmental agengy

was the venue next to the river Wharfe?

I remember there being a sports field next to it with archery,rugby, football on there but not all @ the same time

aye that is the one...apperley bridge is the name of the area...

reet shame it closed cos i live just up the road from there....not the scutty greengates bit, further up
