Default DV Camera to DVD

list your favourite / easiest to use software to transfer dv tape to pc to dvd please

Got 16 years worth of tape to try and dvd's out of that she'll never watch just like the taped versions.

But she must be obeyed and I don't have many years left to do this.

Hurry up as she's now pulling what's left of my mane from my already very bald head

would it be quicker to copy tape to pc then make a dvd?

doing it through PC took forever when i tried, each 60min tape was over 20gb of data, took forever to compress to one dvd. I think the easiest way, if you have one, is to upload it to a digital recorder hdd, then burns onto disk.
But i'm no expert, i gave up after about 2 tapes as it was just silly on the PC. There may be far better software out there though

Nero for DV Capture, then virtualdub to process/shrink

if you want to make a dvd to play in a player rather than just store the files on dvd, then Nero will do that too as will windows movie maker (surprisingly good)
