Dont you have to go to AMB first before you can get an MRT?

If you want an AMB number yes I thought?

I've got an AMB to go in my XXCR and the MRT clone has gone in the Cat SX.

you can get MRT transponders that come with 10 or 20 pre encoded numbers. Personally ive never clashed on numbers, so never changed number

I thought that was the case, think I'll point a friend in their direction for his B4

Myself I would have got one from RC Mushroom and then MRT if a friend hadn't given me one of his AMBs

If you're getting an MRT go for the 20+Custom, then you will have you're own transponder number. The last time I looked they only had the 20+C on the site anyways.

That's expensive.

The exisitng AMB does the job and it's about £60 if you look around

New version of the software as I noticed the Players timing results looked different?

From my understanding, the Custom Number, may not be unique.....

It is not unique - in fact, I'm not sure how the custom number is made.

MRT will give you a "custom" number only if you send in your own transponder to be cloned.

The other 20 numbers are ones that MRT have ripped from AMB transponders that they now own themselves.

MRT are not able to generate their own numbers.

If you are using a number on the MRT that is not the same as an AMB transponder that you own, there is a chance (albeit small) that you will have a transponder clash with someone, somewhere.

No, you're thinking of a 'cloned number'. The 'custom number' is something different. I have a 20+1 custom number transponder, and it clashed with another MRT PTX user.

No, the +1 "custom" number is your cloned number, the transponder also has the 20 "MRT" numbers (clones that they own).

Your transponder clashed because you were using the same "MRT" number as someone else. You need to select another. Either that, or you bought a second hand AMB which had already been cloned and asked MRT to clone it again.
