Default Gearing x-6

I'm going to let my son run my x-6, but I've got no idea what to gear a silver can 540 at. Any help appreciated.

Something massive, maybe 30t?

Try posting in the York section as they run a 540 series

Is this the same as what we Yanks call a "stock" motor? Back in the brushed days, "stock" was a 27 X 1 with fixed endbell and bushings.

Now we are running 17.5 and calling it "stock."

If that's what this is, gear it to the moon -- Dan's right, 30-T pinion -- and be certain to put a fan on the motor. I run my X - 60 in stock truck at most outdoor tracks geared 29/72 with a fan. For the coming indoor season, I'm going to 30/70.

D.M.S. makes the smaller spurs.
