VXL help yourself out. When asking a question give a bit of information.

What Car is it ?

What Motor you running ?

Where are you racing indoors/ outdoors etc.

You get funny answers because of the type of questions you ask !!

Its tough for most people to advise you as most guys here don't run the models or electrics that you do. Your trying to get a reliable race setup for models and electrics that are primarily designed for bashing.

"3500kv motor or a 4300kv motor" doesnt mean very much to the majority of us. We run motors ranging from 5.5 to 8.5 in our buggies.

Speaking personally, i just stick with one spur gear and change pinion dependant upon the track. Changing spur gear just gives finer adjustments in gear ratio. Larger pinion is faster top end. If you go too large then you may end up overheating your motor.

Its all about discipline with your thumbs and lots of practice. Dont be concerned with top speed, just try to be accurate and not crash. Its far more important than outright top speed.

I use 23/81 with a Novak 7.5L in my B4FT if thats of any use.

I know nothing about any of your models im afraid.

The best thing you can do is just take all your stuff down to the track and the racers there will sort things out for you. Its hard to guess about a car we dont really know. Its just a case of trying what you,ve got to find out what best suits the track you will be at. A lot of the lads have allready said they will lend you pinions etc and help you out, sojust turn up and enjoy.
