Smile Tamiya TRF415MSXX MRE touring car inc. lots of spares

The pride and joy of my collection is up for sale, my 10th touring car a Tamiya TRF415MSXX Marc Reinhard Edition.

The car as the pics below show is in excellent condition, and has not been run since having a full re-build. Where maintenance is concerned and the car is ready to race minus electrics etc...

The car is the very last of the TRF415 line up and is very much full specification, but I have upgraded a few items further such as replacing the weak alloy Tamiya turnbuckles with expensive Associated Factory Team titanium items and also fitted seals to the differentials and dust guards to the ball-joints. A front differential is fitted but a front spool is also provided.

Comes supplied with box, instruction manuals and original unused decals, plus theres a load of spare parts as pictured below including lots of costly Tamiya Hop-Up options steel and alloy pinion gears (most of which have never been used).

** Updated: Also now includes a brand new Tamiya Subaru Legacy B4 bodyshell with two rear wings, all cut, painted and stickered ready for use. (see last photo below)

I'm wanting only £255 for everything plus £15 for UK mainland postage which will be insured postage due to the value of the items. Paypal prefered and I'm Paypal verified. If your starting touring car racing or looking to upgrade this is a great chance to get a world championship winning car set-up for a fraction of the cost new.

Still for sale, sorry not really after part ex/swaps, the only thing I may be interested in is a NIB Traxxas 16th Mini E-Revo/Slash but Ideally I'm after the funds for a new laptop

Will be going on ebay soon with a decent reserve so if anyone wants to buy and has a sensible offer now is you last chance to do so. Please no more time wasters anything sub £250 will NOT secure a sale ! I can also supply some electrics if your starting out but they are top end so won't be cheap.

Nice car - looks well looked after.

Sadly, you are wanting far too much for it and this is why it hasnt sold. You can buy a new 416 WE from HK for around £310 shipped at the current exchange rate. Look on completed listings on Ebay. One of our club members got a 416 in similar condition to yours with many NIP spares for £237 this morning. The latest 416WE model sold for £256 shipped this week - again in mint cond.

Good luck on Ebay but i dont think you will get much more than £200 for this. I sold my mint 415 MRE at our club for £175 about 8 months ago.

Donno, you'd be suprised at what things go for, I've seen lesser cars go for more money.

All of it cost me a quite a bit, TRFs were at there peak in price when I bought it and as you can see it's mint. If I don't get what I'm after it can spend the next decade in it's box until it's a much sort after classic I'd rather not sell than regret selling it too cheap !

Yeah im afraid that Rc is a bad investment.

If someone offers you £220 shipped for it i would rip their arm off before they change their mind.

Here is my 415 MSX - the next model down from yours. Read the info

Good luck

Nah you've got my car confused with a different model, there were several versions between your old 415 MSX (2005) and mine.

Versions are listed below :

Tamiya TRF415 MSXX 'Reedy Spec Marc Rheinard Edition' - mine
Tamiya TRF415 MSXX
Tamiya TRF415 MSX 'Marc Rheinard Edition'
Tamiya TRF415 MSX - yours
Tamiya TRF415 MS
Tamiya TRF415

Also yours looks in lesser condition looking at your piccys listed in the link, missing parts etc.... !

Fair comment about the other models - they are all only slightly different though not a complete re design like the 415 to 416. Essentially, the 415 is a 2007 model and they are all of a similar value. I got what was listed never used outdoors for £155 shipped.

Anyway, im not gonna argue about it - i could bump my 416WE until Xmas 2012 for sale at £500 but i know it would never sell.

If yours is worth £300 shipped then my two 416WE`s must be worth more than brand new ones Thanks for making my day

Rich are you having a bad day or something ? You PM me wanting to buy things for silly prices I'd be insane to accept, then go on my threads trying to make out I'm out to rob folk ! Please don't use this tactic to get discout because you can't afford to pay, it makes you look very bad and your money isn't welcome now anyway !

I buy all my stuff from quality UK shops (Microtech, Modelsport, DMS, Demon, One Ten, Fusion, Brock Models, RCModel Imports to name a few) and support the UK scene , not overseas like yourself ! Shame on you , no wonder UK shops have to charge more to make a living !!!!

Fusion Hobbys (a UK Tamiya shop) list the 416WE at £515. My 415MSXX MRE with all those genuine Tamiya spares and a nice shiny Tamiya shell is not exactly asking too much at £250ish plus postage. The genuine Tamiya 0.4 module Hop-Up Options pinions alone are worth well over £200 at UK RRP so you'll understand that the stuff which comes with the car does make a difference to the overall price

Anyway since this thread has unfortunatly turned into a flame I'd ask the mods to please close/remove it !

Erm i can sincerely state that i have NEVER sent this guy a PM of any kind

I wasnt having a bad day until this post from you. Initially i was trying to help you shift it as i thought you sincerely didn't know its value.

I thought you were a little deluded when i first read your for sale post 6 weeks ago with your pricing. Now its been confirmed with your lies.

Cant afford to pay - click the link to my showroom, most of those vintage cars individually are worth more than your obselete 415.

I guess you have been backed into a corner and so are biting back at me .

I dont have to justify to you or anyone else where i spend my money - some i buy from the UK - Tamiya stuff i cant source or dont want to get ripped off with i source from HK.

Im sure Jimmy will have a copy of the PM i sent you of course !

Please feel free to post a copy of it here for all to see MiniJT

Weirdo

Lol, a structured adult reply I see !

If you were 'helping me' you would have PM'd me not openly posted in my thread that I was overpriced. The lengths some peeps will go to get discount is unbelievable ! All I can say is your a liar on the PM front and not really worth any further reply/time !

Like i said - post a copy of the PM up. If you hadnt of been so stubborn and actaully realised that your over valuing your equipment then i wouldnt of had to prove you wrong further.

Im assuming your balls havent yet dropped ?

One for you RICH

Please only reply to a for sale thread if you are genuinely interested in the item for sale.

Like Rich said you will struggle to sell your car at that price despite it being in mint condition. Like he said i got a 416 today on ebay for £237, with a spare chassis, uprated bearings etc that had barely been run. Good luck with your auction, however if someone offers you £220 i would bite there hand off.
