Default Where to buy a 501x from??

Right, iv just sold 2 B4's today and a spare unused zx-5...Sooooo !

i reckon i'll have a nice 501 to try

I always try and support the uk industry, however £360ish for the car, is still quite dear. Iv seen it as low as £240ish on the likes of ebay etc.

Iv had a look at champs site, however they list 2 cars with 2 prices, does anyone know what the differences are between the 2, Im unsure on whether they will understand me if i email them.

Is there any other suppliers that you would reccommend me to use to obtain a car? If so, please either pm me or reply here.

Thanks

Col.

one is just the car, the other is with hop-ups included.

As for the UK, I am not sure if Hobby Co had a second batch, their first batch of 10 is sold.

There is a few in restock now though, its just the price that i think is putting off uk buyers. I rang them on friday to see how the stock situation is.

Ah! the hopups included. Do you know what that package would consist of?

From my calcualtions, It looks like the car on its own comes in at around £194 and the other price is at around £274.

Thanks

Hi Col,

From memory I believe the hop-ups included in the RC-Champ pack are:

- a front one-way
- a Tamiya Volac ESC (basically a KO-Propo VFS-1)
- a set of Pro-Line tyres

It's probably not much use to most. Champ do the front one-way for around £12 on its own.

I purchased my kit from them and was more than happy with the service.

Hope that helps!

Andy.

No you have to email them, they then send you an email in return with the prices on, you then send payment and confirmation and hey presto car on the way.

I spoke to the hobby co rep today and he told me they were unlikely to be getting any more 501's in, even after I told him how many people have got them and like them. There are 3 racing regularly at the club where I race and only 1 of them (mine!) came from the uk... If you take into account postage and customs, you'd not be saving a massive amount getting the car from champ, but it's the simple fact that champ have them (and the spares backup!) and hobby co do not. Shame.

Champ had over 50 at release and reply to emails - hey, more than Tamiya UK in both regards
Tis a shame though - they would certainly sell them.

Just an update really....

Iv just ordered a 501x.. and heres the surprise... its a Uk one lol..

OMG am i out of my mind lol.....

I actually got a reasonable price for it, and I should have it within 2 days,

Heres the ironic part... Iv just ordered loads of spares for it from Hong kong lol... I used rcmodel.hk as they were reccommended. I did see champs site, but it lost me a little and this site is 100 % english.

Hmmm, just got to figure out where the Novak gtb is going to go lol.

Col....
