Macctrack closure

Well, the inevitable has happened. The decline in visitors through the doors, and the sudden lack of interest from the regulars has lead to the closure of the track, indefinately. The last race meeting will be held on the 24th of April 2009, after which the club will close its doors for the final time.
Whilst we thank our regular attendees for their continued support, it is sad to think of all the people who turned away from the club during these hard times, unfortunately it is this economic downturn that has led to the closure of Macctrack.

Sorry to hear this. Hope the club doesn't give up due to this, there is a lot of value in what you have in terms of committee, equipment and knowledge. Perhaps adapt the club to a different class, 10th off road (already popular) or 1/8th electric (potentially popular soon)?

Apparently dave who runs roundabouttoys is opening a proper NATIONALS size track, or at least thats what one of the regulars there has said.
