Default Working towards making a Dogfighter (from a YR4)

Hi all, here is my YR4 M2 Pro chassis... Most will probably think I am mad but I plan to convert it to, as much like as I can, a Dogfighter of some sort so I can race it.

I will need lots of old/new parts and I have started to get some bits already.

I have a lot of parts from my YR4's which I have 3 full cars and one parts car which will help along the way but at best I think the car will resemble a Hotdog to begin with before I buy a full size YZ10 chassis and top deck.

Work continued...

This is how it sat with a slightly modified front diff cover which I'll have to find the original plastic dogfighter ones eventually I guess and also with M2 top deck attached.

New stuff cams in the shape of legs...

I did use a rear bulkhead for the front to cancel out the angle which also lets the front legs dangle properly too.

New old stock parts arrived, 870c front upright, custom YZ10 rear upright, Hotdog4 rear driveshafts and vertex' and also the temporary use of the shocks and track rods from my Cougar just to keep everything together.

currently sits like this with a set of wheels and I have some other bits in the pipeline to complete it. Hopefully I will get hold of the full size chassis and top deck at some point either an old one or one from Fibre Lyte...

The work continues

That's my old shell!! 😂😂

Looks like you've got a pretty good start which dogfighter were you after? You've got a works 92 rear tower there and you'll need proper cv's in the rear too Cus didn't the hotdog use bones?

Here's my old Works 92 I'm in the process of building another

I figured there might be some parts that used to belong to someone on here

The car will be a mix of all the generations of YZ10 or 870c so as long as it works I will be happy

The rear shafts are bones with vertex bars through the rear hubs so they should work OK I guess I can get some proper CV at some point down the line

Loving your 92 project Peakey
