Guys, i need a new ESC & Motor combo for my new car.
Ive got a few options and id like some feedback on them if possible.
1. New orion speedo & motor combo, i think the speedo is the same as the ko propo one. However ive not seen any of these in stock anywhere so im not sure of any prices or if anyone is running one yet.
2. New Nosram pearl evolution & (X12) motor Again not seen anyone listing thses yet.
3. LRP Sphere, i know this speedo is well proven and very good but the only combos available seem to come with the old X11 motor and i would much rather have the new X12 one, anyone seen one ?
4. Novak GTB, ive ran one of these and had no issues whatsoever. The 6.5t combo is also pretty competativly priced @ 185 too.
5. Tekin RS Pro & new motor combo, i really like the look of this tekin system and ive read a lot of good about it but its a good chunk (£65)more expensive than the novak system which i dont mind paying if its worht it.

I know everyone has there own opinions on what is best (ie what they run) but some impartial info and feedback would be welcomed.
Jimmi.......

Orion is available via ebay in UK shop, search for Vortex. Heard @ the world's on-road most user's swapped back to the LRP/Nosram esc.

Tekin has loads of adjustments but needs pc with software if you really want to fine tune it and can keep running it sensor lead drops out.

Nosram/LRP would seem best bets with life time warranty, if you keep the receipt

Cheers glenn, i have no problem with the LRP speedo but i dont want to buy the combo with an outdated motor and to buy them seperate isnt cost effective. It might be worth a call to LRP to see if they are going to release a X12 combo soon.
The orion speedos on ebay arent the same as the new ones ive seen on Red RC a few weeks ago ill see if i caqn find a link. But if they are new i dont really want to be a guinea pig and be the first to get one for it to go wrong.
I really like the Tekin RS Pro and the new tekin motors, im thinking ill go down that route as i can get a decent deal on them. Or ill buy a GTB that i know is reliable.

If a mod could change the thread title to "New Brushless combo LRP vs Novak vs Tekin" that would be cool.

changed from nosram to tekin, find the tekin smoother on the lower end and more user friendly, especially if you have a laptop as you can get the hot wire and adjust it all on there
