Sanwa gemini x compatibility

I have a sanwa gemini x radio, rx451 reciver and exceed comp fusion ESC.
the steering work ( after i changed the settings to reverse)
But I'm having no joy with the motor. Not a thing is happening.
what am i missing? Or does the combination just not compatable?

Recalibrate esc with new transmitter. If still doesn't work try setting reverse on throttle and doing it again.
