Default Shading colours that work for fluorescent orange

Guys a bit of help with some decent shading colours for my shells would be handy. I have had my shell colour scheme for years and dont want to change but i would like to "spice" it up a little. Im handy with an airbrush but just cant find a colour to do some shading in the fluroescent orange section of my shell. In the past ive tried yellow which made the flu look dirty and red which just took the brightness out of the shell. Am i missing something obvious or is there not a lot to shade this colour with ?
Thanks Jimmi.......

subtle - id go for a pearl orange colour

contrasting - white always works best

or a combination of both depending on what you were doing

Here is a pic of my 808 shell, the design doesnt work as well on the 808 as the shell is an odd shape compared to my other cars. But you can see the colours easily enough.
Any help appreciated.
Jimmi...

seeing your colour scheme ( very nice mate ) i would be tempted to some very faint white in the orange part.

but it looks good to start with really.

sometimes you can do too much with a paint design and it can have the opposite effect from what you were intending. just a thought.
