some parts may want upgrading for strength and reliability so whether it would cost more getting an rtr and upgrading or buying a kit b4 with the needed upgrades already and buy the electrics seperately. Personaly i'd go for a team or factory team kit b4 version as they are equiped with better parts and theres less need to splash out on any extra bits that will probly cost more

I started off with the B4RS and the only upgrades I bought straight away were the aluminum front arm brace and a set of cvd's. The real expensive part comes when you decide to upgrade the electrics. Within a couple of weeks racing the RS i had bought a new ESC and motor and sold off the bits that came with the car. If you have a controller, receiver and servo, I would do as Mike suggested and buy the Team version (£120 from DMS) and see if you can get a second hand brushless set up from the sales section here. In the end it will probably save you some money.
Hope this helps. ![]() |

For £45 you can't go too far wrong, there's a couple on ebay for about that now. If your getting the electrics for this then I'd snap it up. I don't know if the servo/esc/motor/transmitter are any good but you can replace them all as you go along.
If your just spending £45 on a bare RTR ( without electrics ) it wants to be in reasonable condition or perhaps already upgraded abit. Saying all of this even in complete standard trim the're not off the pace just that perhaps bits of it may not last as long. ![]() |

There is nothing wrong with a ready to run to get you going. You can save money on your initial purchase and then upgrade things as your ability improves. With it being a B4 there will always be other racers who will be able to help you out should you need spare parts or just some general help.
Might see you next weekend at NBC, even if your car is not ready then pop along and say Hi.
