Front Belt

Finally completed building my Sx and noticed that the front belt touches/very close to the servo case. Has any else noticed this? I must admit, I think it is predominately down to the front being v.loose, (kit settings).

Are you running the nimh version as my belt was very slack on the kit setting but now i have adapted it to run lipo and fitted the roller bearing its fine.

yeah i never had a problem with it when i ran it with the cells, no belt skip or rubbing anywere

In the manual the belt setting is same for Lipo/Nimh (with/without roller). The belt on the Nimh car at this setting seems right, Lipo car with roller needs to be one notch looser than manual suggests.

As for the closeness of belt, never seen it, id be tempted to buy the roller from the Lipo car and fit it if unsure.

Do you need the servo posts if you put a lipo in the nimh chassis using a lo pro servo? Looks like it may only need a little spacer (4mm ish).

It would be better if both versions came with the roller, i think mine needs adjusting then chris as i left it to the manual setting and it does seem a bit tight.

You need about 50mm from the servo to the edge of the chassis ( widest point ) to make the lipo sit in nicely

I think you are right. I am running a lo-pro servo and easily can move it back. But I haven't as the space behind servo hides lots of lead.

Hi Griff, I've done just as you said, lo pro servo and just some spacers - not the long ones in the kit
