just sold mine mate or you could have tried it!
hop ups, there are a few threads with these. The car is strong out of the box, nothing needed for strength. Only essential mod is 30g of lead in the front end. Maybe replace the diff balls with associated or the ceramic from atomic carbon. Use Losi springs if you have a set available as the kyosho ones are a little bizarre in range. The atomic towers are nice and give more holes, but i broke rear and the tiny front mount! Kit items are strong and i didn't notice any real difference from using the extra holes. Obviously someone of your level may notice more! A handy tip for the rear inner pivot ball is fit one with a hex driver head, as it is impossible to get to with a box wrench for standard ballstud. Makes changing the link easier. Think that it pretty much it, as i said have a read in the kyosho section as i've probably missed something. There is various discussion in there about the rear wishbones, using the lazer ones which are narrower etc. hope you like it, it's a solid car. Better than my old B4. ps, i have some titanium turnbuckles if you want to shave some weight of it, they are a bit porky on the scales!

![]() The only essential bits to improve handling are to place weight in the front end, around 35-40g, carbide balls when the kit ones wear and the AC rear tower. (although this would depend on if your trying one with the old or new rear end) Other bits I have on mine are the front AC tower, alloy hinge pin carriers and hexs, although I wouldn't class these parts as essential, but a nice touch. ![]() |

have the option of a new rear end as well so will be trying both. has anyone tried the new rear end. ifso what did u find. will be getting the alloy bits once i know if i like the car. i take it that the extra weight is to get the front end in

yeah weight at the front helps turn in. I also ran a front wing. Never ran without it actually, so not sure if it made much difference!
didn't try the new rear, i ran mine with lazer wishbones instead.

I have only ever ran the car with the standard rear end, the car as gone that well this season I haven't been in a rush to change it although the rear new rear end is something I really need to get around to trying. But having seen one built up on a car my only concern is that you lose the option of standing the shocks up straight, which can be needed at times on British tracks, ideally we need Mr AC to make a rear tower for the new rear end.
The car is very light on the front so the weight helps the car both turn in and jump flatter. |

Nath, you'll need the proline rear axle conversion for Losi/Asso wheels unless you've still got lots of glued up ZX-5 ones hanging around.

The new rear end kit consists of the wider rear arms, A lower shock tower, shorter shock bodies, new cvd shafts due to the longer length wishbones and different rear hubs.
I'd try to get a full kit Nathan. http://www.infernosonly.com/Kyosho_U.../kyoumw510.htm |
