Red light flashing indicates low battery.

Which speed passion?

The reventons have very sensitive thermal and lvc settings. (Actually, they're just a bit crap)

Try newer firmware, some of them fix the lvc issue.

Or run with it switched off, but only run for x minutes at a time.

X is dependant on motor turns, car type, battery capacity etc. I do 10 minutes, with a boosted 8.5 in a 410. Drop to 8 minutes with the 6.5 (outdoors).
I tried a few of the firmware versions, they all triggered lvc too early!

(The thermal protection is also very aggressive! )

No idea!
You'd have to check with speed passion.

Is it a Speed Passion motor? I had the same issue and it turned out to the motor not the speedo.

If you are running stock 0 firmware and the orange light is on all the time and the red light flashes two short and then one long it only tells you that you´re running the speedo in "blinky" mode.
